Blisters

How it works

One sitting. About an hour. Then it's yours.

No waiting on us, no demo, no "a consultant will be in touch". You open it, you work through it, you close it with a submission pack in your hand. Then the vault does it again for every quote you send.

The sitting

Six steps, one sitting.

Whether Ben emailed you about a tender we'd already started, or you picked one from the list in your own workspace — it's the same six steps. About an hour the first time; a lot less once the vault knows you.

1

Open the job

From Ben's email or from your own workspace. The tender's already in there — plain-English brief, closing date, what the council actually wants, what would get you knocked out.

2

Check the lights

Every requirement is green, amber or red. Green we've covered. Amber needs strengthening. Red we need from you. Answer honestly — the gaps are the point.

3

Fill the gaps

A short run of questions. Licence number, insurance certificate, a referee's name. Lights flip green as you go, and the answers write themselves into the draft while you watch. The more you've done with us, the fewer there are — the vault remembers.

4

Put your price in

The council's pricing schedule, filled in with your numbers. We never suggest a price and we never take a cut of one.

5

Get the pack

Every answer under the council's own question, your logo on the cover, attachments lettered and indexed, files named the way the council named them. $149 the first time, on screen from the first click; on a plan it's one job off this month's allowance.

6

You lodge it, on their portal

Always you. You log in to the council's tender portal, upload the pack and press submit — with our checklist beside you, step by step, and the receipt filed against the job. We never lodge a bid in your name and we never speak to the buyer. That's your name on the front page.

Afterwards: forward the council's emails to your workspace and every question and addendum gets filed against the job. If one's due and hasn't arrived, we nag. Nothing lands in a void.

Green — we've got it

Strong evidence on file. Nothing more needed from you for this one.

Amber — needs strengthening

We've got something, but the council will want more. It says what, and how to fix it.

Red — we need this

Can't be drafted without you. Usually a document, a number, or a name.

The vault

Stop starting from scratch. Tenders, quotes, the lot.

Blisters is the vault for everything worth knowing about your business. Licences, insurances, safety system, referees, past jobs, the way you actually do the work — saved once, kept current, never asked for again. Every tender, quote and proposal you send draws on it.

The first one's the hard one. By the tenth, the message reads “ready — we need one insurance cert and your price.”

Proposals and quotes

Answer the questions before they're asked.

Most of the work you win won't come through a tender portal. It's the strata manager, the school, the builder, the aged-care home — someone who wants a document, not just a price. That's where the vault earns its keep every week, not a few times a year.

The Word doc that hasn't changed since 2011

Same three paragraphs about "our commitment to quality". Insurance certificate from last year, if it's attached at all. The client emails back asking for the licence number, the referees and whether you've got a safety plan. Three days go by. Someone else gets the job.

The Blisters proposal

Written for this job, in your voice, from what's in the vault. Current certificates, licences, referees and safety system already attached. Scope, method, price, next step. Out the door the same day, and nothing left for the buyer to chase.

None of that is about writing prettier. It's about arriving complete, on time, with nothing left to ask — which is exactly what a vault of your own evidence makes routine.
